Where is the gold coast
The Gold Coast is in the southeast corner of Queensland, extending down to the border of New South Wales. It is located approximately 48 miles south of Brisbane, the state's capital city. It is the sixth most populous city.
How to get there
The Gold Coast region is serviced by two major airports, Gold Coast Airport and Brisbane International Airport.
Gold Coast Airport is located on the Gold Coast Highway at the southern end of the Gold Coast, only five minutes from Coolangatta.
Buses, taxis and limousines operate from Gold Coast Airport to your accommodation on the Gold Coast. You'll find the conveniently located Transport and Information Desk right outside International Arrivals, and taxis immediately outside the terminal.
Brisbane International Airport is a 75 minute drive from the Gold Coast, and Brisbane's Airtrain offers twice hourly express trains between the Gold Coast and the airport.
Climate
Described as "beautiful one day, perfect the next", the Gold Coast boasts a pleasant, sub-tropical climate with an average 287 days of sunshine annually.
